What is ScareA.L.L?

The ScareA.L.L fundraiser is a project that started in 2023 to raise money for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in connection with Children’s Wisconsin. However, the basis for the fundraiser dates back over twenty years.

The Sukowaty family has been creating an interactive trick-or-treat experience since the early 2000s in New Berlin, Wisconsin. The idea started as a fun way to spice up the traditional Halloween experience with the family dressing up and acting as scary figures for people to enjoy. Over the years, the pseudo-haunted house grew to include staple characters that people recognized over the years and they became known as the “scary house with big candy.”

In 2020, the family decided to relocate the tradition to Cudahy, Wisconsin with renewed vigor to scare a new neighborhood. After a great success in their first year, they decided to enhance the annual tradition, even expanding into other houses and growing into a larger event.

In 2021, the family decided to use the platform they built to support a cause - and one that has directly affected the family - Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. And thus, ScareALL was born as a way for the family to use their Halloween tradition to create a positive impact and fundraise for A.L.L. research.

The family began their partnership with Children’s Wisconsin; the 2023 Halloween year started a new tradition of the ScareA.L.L fundraiser, with funds directly contributing to ALL research and treatment development. This new format also incorporates the desire to grow as a community event for Cudahy, support local businesses and create an enjoyable experience that is backed by a worthy cause.
